What is Graphic Design?

Some people have a very clear definition of what graphic design is.... i am not one of those people, graphic design to me is a world of opportunities, i believe that absolutely anything can be made/designed under the title of graphic design. from advertising to kitchen knives.









The fundamental principle behind graphic design however to me is communication. generally visually communicating to the public whether that be by designing street signs or shaving into someones head.



The conventional ideas of graphic design have always lead me to dwell upon meaning and concept. i find thinking of the appropriateness of everything very stressful and prefer when designers just do what they like. literally design for designs sake.







I guess if we all carried on just designing what we wanted for ourselves we would all be out of a job
